Very large images not displayed when OpenGL enabled

Hello,
I run Cinelerra r897, with OpenGL enabled and "X11-OpenGL" selected as video
driver in the preferences window. The GFX card is an Nvidia 7600GS (OpenGL 2.0).
I work on a project with *very* large pictures (around 7000x5000 pixels). When
viewing the video in the compositor window, those large images aren't displayed.
Here's what is written in the console:
BC_Texture::create_texture frame size 6577x4777 bigger than maximum texture
4096x4096.
I understand OpenGL can't work with that large pictures. However, can't those
large pictures be displayed using the "normal method" (not OpenGL) in that case?
On other parts of the video, the images which are less than 4096x4096 are
displayed without any problem.
